Launching OnePlus's first mini flagship by running the industry's bigger-is-better logic in reverse
Stronger. Smarter. Smaller.
OnePlus's first-ever mini flagship, the 13s, was set to launch in India, folding most of the Pro-line's power into a compact frame. Every compact phone before it built its identity around cute and playful. 13s had to be powerful instead, with no real precedent in the category to build against.
Every year, phones get bigger to get better, bigger screens, bigger sensors, bigger batteries, bigger cooling systems. Nobody had ever actually asked whether that trade was necessary. So we answered it directly: a compact phone can also be powerful.
The film runs the industry's logic in reverse, a phone evolving bigger with every upgrade, smarter brain, stronger body, more power, more, more, more, until it swallows the hand holding it. Then it asks: does it really need to be bigger? It reverses, the phone shedding all that bulk to reveal the 13s underneath, same power, none of the size.
