Reintroducing the Crocs Bae in bold pink with new ambassador Tan Jianci in a rhythm-driven film
In 2025, Crocs welcomed a new ambassador, actor Tan Jianci, also known as JC-T, and used the moment to reintroduce one of its best-selling silhouettes, the Bae, to a more fashion-forward audience.

The Bae has always been a women’s shoe, so Crocs broke its own convention by putting a male face on it. But it did not stop there. Instead of giving the Bae a soft, subtle colorway, the shoe arrived in a bold blood-red pink.

That contrast, a women’s silhouette worn by a man, a quiet shoe turned loud, is exactly what Crocs’ Come As You Are spirit is meant to represent. JC-T paired the Bae with Crocs’ own Jibbitz charms, redefining what confidence and self-expression could look like through the shoe.

JC-T is best known as an actor, but music has always been core to who he is, so that became our way in. We built a groovy, rhythm-driven film around him, with the beat syncing directly to the campaign name, Dong Ci Ta Ci (洞次嗒次), a playful pun combining Crocs’ signature vent holes (洞) with Tan Jianci’s own name (次).
